Mellow Yellow!

Monday, July 28, 2014

Hey!

So after a crazy week at work I am finally back on the blogging scene! I am suddenly so obsessed with bright/neon colours - I think being a brunette has definitely helped seeing as when I was blonde I just couldn't pull it off!

Motel Rocks have some beautiful summer items and I couldn't resist this neon yellow dress. It is perfect for a festival/ BBQ / holiday as it is so casual but stylish at the same time. Normally, I always wear heels or wedges with dresses as I am so short but I felt sandals went perfectly with this outfit!

I also couldn't resist the gorgeous daisy flower hair detail - I felt it added a chic look to the outfit. It was only £3.99 from New Look so a cute little summer bargain.

MOTEL ROCKS

Monday, July 21, 2014

Hello!

So 'shopaholic' Lauren made an appearance again and I purchased this Motel Rocks number! I am loving pastel colours, especially pink at the moment and couldn't resist this gorgeous dress!

Gingham is everywhere at the moment and this cami slip dress is the perfect way to be on trend! I love it because it can be worn both at night and in the day depending on the look you're going for.

I decided to wear mine for afternoon drinks in the sun and felt it was both in-between smart and casual. I paired mine up with some gorgeous fuschia wedges and a pink flower in my hair to add more detail! The bag was perfect as I felt it made my outfit far more casual as appose to a clutch bag.

Corinthia Hotel London

Wednesday, July 16, 2014

Hey!

So last week I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon at a Baby Shower at the luxurious Corinthia Hotel, London. Upon arrival we expected to be taken into a function room or something similar but instead we were directed to the 7th floor penthouse suite!

I cannot explain to you my face upon entrance - it was unbelievable! A champagne reception and a butler service was not what I was prepared for! We were led onto the roof terrace and the view of London was incredible - luckily it was a sunny day so we could make the most of it! As seen in the pics below there were mini cupcakes with fondant icing in the shape of baby dummies - it was adorable!

There were two bedrooms, two lounges, a study, a dining room, a massage parlour, two huge bathrooms, and a walk-in wardrobe.. the penthouse is obviously the icing on the cake of an extremely wonderful hotel!

Although after falling in love with it I entered dream land and decided I was going to ask how much it would be for 24 hours...in the region of £18,000. Looks like I better start saving huh!

Here are a few pics to give you a little sneak peak!

The Corinthia, home of the largest ESPA Spa in Europe, has some of the most amazing facilities! Including, three fabulous dining areas and several bars! I would strongly recommend popping in for a cheeky glass of wine if you are passing by!

TWO TONE!

Sunday, July 13, 2014

Hi!

So this week I was lucky enough to receive some beautiful blogger mail! At the moment I am obsessed with online boutiques and the variety of gorgeous clothes on offer! Sams Boutique (@boutiquesam on Instagram) have such a wide variety of stylish clothes at such reasonable prices!

One of my beautiful mail items was this two-tone midi dress! It is absolutely perfect for either a wedding/day time affair or a classy night out with the girls! I have quite a curvy figure so I was slightly wary of how it would look, but, I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was and how classy it looked!

I managed to team it up with a New Look clutch bag that was an exact match of the colours in the dress! I couldn't believe I found one that was exactly the same!

Clarins Must-Have!

Clarins Radiance Plus Golden Glow Booster!

*Three little drops to sun-kissed skin*

Okay, so I had to do a little post on this absolute must-have!

According to Clarins, this is the first ever self-tanning innovation from the Clarins laboratories. It is so simple to use, you simply just mix your regular day or night cream to gradually develop natural-looking bronzed skin! The 99.8% natural formula means that if you suffer from sensitive skin (like me) you can still use it for a perfectly healthy glow! This product has completely changed my facial tanning routine for the better, no more patchy areas! I honestly think this product is something special!

How to apply:

- Apply 1-3 drops onto exfoliated skin, and add your usual moisturiser and mix together in the palm of your hand.
- Apply evenly to face and neck.
- Wash hands thoroughly after application.
- Repeat as often as you like depending on how dark you would like your tan to be!

Advantages:

- Very subtle - it does exactly as it promises to do (sun-kissed skin).
- It is unscented which is a bonus - no biscuit fake tan smell!
- The bottle is tiny but very cost effective as only a few drops are needed at a time!
- Perfect for sensitive skin as you can use your own moisturiser alongside it meaning you do not need to worry about testing out new moisturisers!

My top tips:

- I would advise to apply 3 drops for a deep tan or just 1-2 drops for a natural glow.
- Apply it before bed and you will be surprised at how quickly you see the results.

We all love the bronzed look, so what better way to gain a healthy glow than with this product? I would love to hear your comments if anyone has also tried it!
